Steps To Generate an Inspection Request

  • Not totally sure where to begin in terms of requesting a construction inspection? Don’t worry! InspectDate’s sole purpose is to make this process as effortless and efficient as possible. See the steps below.

  • Step 1: Create a Project

Visit the Projects page from the side panel and choose to “Add Project”. The form is pretty straightforward. Complete it and submit! Repeat this process until you’ve created all of the construction projects for which you’d like to request an inspection.

  • Step 2: Create an Inspection Request

From the Inspection Requests page on the side panel, click to “Request Inspection”. Complete the fields and dropdowns in the form. You can request an inspection that pertains to just one project or to many. Make the selection here!

  • Step 3: Accept or decline the Inspection Request

The Trusted Vendor that you’ve requested to complete the inspection will receive an email notification, like the one below, prompting them to either accept or decline the request.

Once they accept, they will schedule the inspection and submittal dates. If they decline it, we’ll notify you so that you know to request another Trusted Vendor to complete the inspection.

  • Step 4: Wait for submittal and completion

Before the scheduled submittal date, you can always visit the Inspection Request (either from Calendar or Inspection Requests on side panel) to either update it with new attachments or pertinent information or to review any updates that the Trusted Vendor may have made as well.

On the submittal date, when the Trusted Vendor changes the status to “Completed”, you’ll be notified by email immediately. You can then visit the Inspection Request to download all inspection documentation.
